A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and troubleshoot discrepancies on rotorcraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Familiar with using test equipment for track and balance. Theory of rotor system tracking and balancing for adjustments. Interpreting Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins for application on helicopters. Familiar with using measuring instruments such as dial calipers, micrometers, tensiometers, dial bore gauges, feeler gauges, and borescopes. Adjustments and troubleshooting of engine parameters for oil pressure, Ng, temperature indication, and topping settings. Familiar with common hand tools for applying torque to fasteners. Keeping detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines. Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory body. Perform routine maintenance checks and perform diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions. Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs. Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations. Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standards Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years A&P experience working on helicopters with at least 2 years on any of the following designated helicopters, Airbus/Eurocopter AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145, Agusta 109, 119, 139, Bell 206, 407, 429, 412, 505, MD500, and/or Sikorsky S76. A&P License required Flight line experience to include track and balance Must have own tools Must have a basic knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, FAA documentation High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Places material to be cut onto the saw table surface using various types of material handling equipment. Starts machine and activate controls to complete the sawing process.Places stretched acrylic material on the grinding/polishing table using various types of material handling equipment. Able to work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications. Must be able to use calibrated tools, measuring devices, and set up and operate standard shop equipment. Able to enter or exit aircraft work stands in a safe manner. Able to work from adjustable height stands in a safe manner and be able to climb steps to approximately 25 feet in height, with or without reasonable accommodation. Able to use motorized portable personnel lifts that extend up to 25 feet in height. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.
