Avionics Technician will perform operational tests on aircraft components to determine condition, analyze performance, and isolate malfunctions in the radar, sensors, weapons control, electronic warfare (EW), flight control, and engine control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems that perform communications, navigation, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and automatic flight-control functions. Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed. Take part in any required training including GMM and safety. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment. Able to perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision. Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging. Able to use FAA approved data (i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.

Minimum 5 years aircraft technician experience. 737/ MD80 Experience Required. A320 experience, preferred. Active A&P License Must Have Own Tools Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

At least 2 years of work experience on designated helicopters (Airbus – AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145; Agusta – 109, 119, 139; Bell – 206, 407, 429, 412, 505; MD – 500; Sikorsky – S76). Certifications in electrical or aviation maintenance courses preferred. Experience with systems such as NAV/COM, Autopilot, GPS, and RVSM. An understanding of other aircraft systems, such as hydraulics and flight controls. The ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer’s bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual. Support the company Safety Program

Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is required. 6+ years of experience in aircraft turbine engine maintenance. Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manuals accurately. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and in a team. Familiarity with aircraft maintenance procedures and safety protocols. Experience working with ground support equipment (GSE) is a plus. Willingness to travel for on-site and off-site maintenance assignments.
