Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times. Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed. Take part in any required training including GMM and safety. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment. Able to perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision. Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging. Able to use FAA approved data (i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.

Minimum 5 years aircraft technician experience. 737/ MD80 Experience Required. A320 experience, preferred. Active A&P License Must Have Own Tools Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Keeping detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines. Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory body. Perform routine maintenance checks and perform diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions. Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs. Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standards. Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.

Requirements

Skills: Analytical mind with a penchant for troubleshooting. Excellent math and computer skills. Detail-oriented with a passion for mechanics. Manual dexterity and physical strength. Extensive experience with power and hand tools, and knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, and parts. Ability to make consistent and precise repairs under pressure. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.
