Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Locate and mark dimensions, layout patterns, and templates, fabricate parts, repair or replace heavy structure aircraft components. Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering authorizations, structural repair manuals, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification Provide accurate documentation on customer paperwork per FAA requirements. Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. Follow safety program including hazmat tool control and foreign object damage (FOD) Conduct operational tests. Help with general clean-up of work area. Maintain regular and prompt attendance Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have at least 1 year A319/320/321 experience within the last 3 years. Must be able to execute the most complex Structure Repairs by reviewing SRMs and engineering drawings. • Floor beams, seat tracks, 540 stringer repairs, 663 pressure deck, Cargo Bay repairs. • Skin repairs & skin replacements. • Able to identify flag notes in engineering drawings – interpret Advanced Drawing Change Notices (ADCN). • Mentor/ guide small crew of lower-level non-licensed mechanics and sign on their repairs

Key Responsibilities • Build and assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions • Perform cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and terminating of wires and connectors • Install and route harnesses within UAV structures, ensuring proper strain relief and protection • Interpret wiring diagrams, pinouts, and BOMs • Conduct continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in assemblies and systems • Support prototype builds and low-rate production (LRIP) efforts • Maintain documentation, redlines, and as-built configurations • Ensure compliance with quality standards and workmanship requirements (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620 preferred) • Work collaboratively with engineering to improve designs for manufacturability and reliability

Requirements

Required Qualifications • 6 months plus of experience in wire harness assembly or electronics technician role • Experience or Certification. (Does not have to be in aircraft) Proficiency in crimping, soldering, and cable routing techniques • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and assembly drawings • Experience with mil/aerospace-style connectors (D38999, Micro-D, etc.) preferred • Familiarity with test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.) • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications • Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAV systems • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification. • Experience with environmental considerations (vibration, thermal, EMI shielding) • Ability to support rapid prototyping and iterative development environments
