The Aircraft Inspector will conduct all required inspections in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, any customer’s approved program data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct all required inspections in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, any customer’s approved program data, and the policies and procedures contained in this Inspection Procedures Manual. Record the results of all inspections performed on the proper inspection forms used by the repair station in accordance with this Inspection Procedures Manual. Be thoroughly familiar with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, tolerances, limits, inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their area of responsibility to determine the quality of the work performed and the airworthiness of the article. Maintain proficiency with various types of inspection aides used for the inspection of a particular item. Ensure current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limits, and procedures recommended by the manufacturer of the product undergoing inspection and other forms of applicable inspection information are available for reference. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer’s bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual. Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Inspector or Structural or Aircraft Technician, Heavy Commercial experience REQUIRED. Active A&P License required. Preferred 737, MD80 Experience. Must have own tools Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Interior Mechanic on corporate, heavy commercial or VVIP/Head of State aircraft Minimum of 3 years' experience on VVIP B777 highly preferred MUST have at least 1 year of B777 experience within the last two years. Remove and reinstall VVIP interiors to include disconnecting and reconnecting of avionics and systems. Install carpet and non-textile flooring. Strip and recover headliners, valance panels, deco’s etc. with different materials. Install potted inserts, use of various adhesives, fillers, and aircraft hardware. Sewing, make patterns, layout. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work from drawings, sketches, pictures or verbal specifications to stain, finish, and polish cabinets, cabinet parts, and sub-assemblies including inlays, patterns, and special designs. Strip finish as needed. Experience working with wood veneers, sanding, clear coating, staining, and touch up on veneers. Prepare surfaces to be painted by sanding, steaming, filling, and cleaning. Cover all areas to be protected from paint or stripper with proper materials. Select and mix proper paint to the Manufacturer’s specifications. May be required to experiment with special paints and related products. Set up and use spray gun for proper application of urethane, lacquer, enamel, water base and epoxy paints. Touch up woodwork with brush, airbrush, and/or spray gun, blend-in techniques. Complete tasks within assigned time limits. Accurately log computerized labor data collection system for work orders, time and attendance tracking. May lead or train other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by supervision. Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures. Set up and operate standard shop equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent 1 year of experience preparing, sanding or stripping metal or composite surfaces for the application of primer; or polishing, buffing and/or touch up/artistic background; or specialized technical school certification in related field Able to work from documentation such as company procedures, preparation packages, etc. Able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Must have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors or rework. Able to use standard spray paint equipment: paint guns, sanding equipment, dual action orbital sander and common hand tools. Must not be abnormally allergic to paint, paint stripper, solvents, primers or other paint related products that produce fumes or dust while using. Ability to use a respirator.
