Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assembles parts into subassemblies and final assemblies using basic hand tools such as, drill motors, die grinders, sanders, polishers, rivet shavers and other like tools. Drills holes of varying sizes in detail parts and subassemblies according to work instructions. Installs blind rivets, Jo-Bolts, hilocks, huck bolts, solid rivets and bolts, drives and bucks rivets to attach and assemble detail parts to structural parts and complete subassemblies to written and verbal work instructions. Inspects completed assemblies for conformance to specifications. Completes and maintains necessary paperwork for documenting processes performed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years experience in an aircraft or aeronautical environment. Must possess above average verbal, written skills and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess well-developed critical thinking, logic and analytical skills. Able to work from heights or small-enclosed areas for short periods with or without reasonable accommodation. Able to climb, stoop, bend, kneel, and/or work from unleveled surfaces with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, 3D models and specifications. Able to use precision measuring tools, gauges and laboratory type instruments. Must possess computer literacy with the ability to learn new applications. Must be pro-active and team oriented.
