Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assess the condition of aircraft upholstery, seats, and interior components to determine necessary repairs or replacements
Create precise patterns by measuring and tracing existing aircraft seats
Build and shape foam seat inserts to match specifications and enhance passenger comfort
Work proficiently with a variety of materials, including leather, vinyl, and fabric, to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing upholstery
Sew thick, flame-retardant fabrics that comply with aviation safety standards, using appropriate tools and techniques
Stitch, sew, and fit upholstery components with precision to achieve a professional finish
Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including proper care of tools and equipment
Ensure all completed work adheres to quality standards and complies with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of aircraft upholstery sewing experience
Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, pattern-making, and foam fabrication
Comfortable handling specialized tools and sewing machines designed for heavy-duty fabrics
Familiarity with flame-retardant materials and aviation safety requirements
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

Fabricate, develop, build, sew, and cover aircraft soft goods through the knowledge and skills of aircraft upholstery via Dassault Falcon Jet standards while using 3D models, drawings, blueprints, IDEI drawings, and/or spec control prints following Dassault Quality standards. Soft goods include crew seats, passenger seats, divans, side ledges, headliners and other assorted interior soft goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, completion drawings, company standards, work instructions, 3D model information.
Perform proper maintenance practices in accordance to DFJ FPS, “F” standards and Quality standards, such as proper glue application, adhesive bonding, and hardware.
Correct handling and use of all required tools specific to the current job assignment.
Correct handling and use of all required chemicals and adhesives related to the current job assignment, including general knowledge and ability on retrieving data from the MSDS safety books.
Position will primarily have one area of focus: Seat Covering
Disassemble and reassemble vendor passenger seats and divans in accordance with the guidelines of the vendor component maintenance manuals, and other seat and divan vendors.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in Upholstery, Sewing, or related.
Able to align intricate or elaborate designs in fabrics.
Must not be allergic to chemical, solvents, paints, adhesives, natural or manmade materials, fabrics, or feathers.
Basic computer skills.
Able to work in confined spaces and in unusual positions.
Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
Visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and rework.
Able to stock and remove materials from bins above storage level according to OSHA standards.
Preferred - Aircraft upholstery fabrication experience
Preferred - Ability to solve practical problems when needed.
Preferred - Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Preferred - Manufacturing, vocational, tech school training, and/or related college credits.
Preferred - Computer and/or software training or experience.
Preferred - Able to work from documentation such as MES, FPS, WI, blueprints, drawings, F-standards, preparation packages, etc.
Preferred - Courses in state or federal vocational technical upholstery programs
Miscellaneous
WORKING CONDITIONS: Factory/manufacturing environment subject to high noise levels, adhesive or chemical odors, dust, and normal climate control.

This position is ideal for individuals with a versatile interior background who can perform a combination of aircraft interior removals and installations (R&R), cabinet refinishing, upholstery, carpet installation, and interior refurbishment work. Candidates with experience in R&R and cabinet finishing or R&R and upholstery/carpet installation are encouraged to apply. Assist with full aircraft refurbishment and modification projects.

Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to support project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting business jet refurbishment projects.
Experience performing both cabinet finishing and upholstery/carpet work.
Knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft interior standards.
Multi-skilled interior technicians with experience across R&R, cabinet finishing, upholstery, and carpet installation are highly desired.
