The Interior Installation Technician II works under general supervision to remove, install, and/or fabricate aircraft interiors, which may include items such as trim, carpet, sound proofing, light structure, cabinetry, panels and other accessories. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and use personal protective equipment as required. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk. Assist technicians, under supervision, with aircraft maintenance requirements. Adapt to sudden schedule changes. Additional Functions: Work with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that reduce cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement techniques. Make and use simple patterns for own use employing standardized procedures. . In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of application installation, fabrication or related experience. preferred. Experience in aerospace industry. Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Ability to use hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors. Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift. Must be computer literate. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the client Safety Manual. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Interiors lead or Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. 18+ months of aircraft interiors experience with a maintenance, modification, or overhaul center Must provide own tools as indicated on company tool list. Language (read, write, speak, and understand English). Subject to noise more than 85 dbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment. Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator. Employees with facial hair will be required to purchase a hood to meet respirator requirements. Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program. Normal or corrected hearing. Duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, climbing stairs, etc., handling supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations. Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standards Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience as a helicopter mechanic with at least 2 years on any of the following designated helicopters, Airbus/Eurocopter AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145, Agusta 109, 119, 139, Bell 206, 407, 429, 412, 505, MD500, and/or Sikorsky S76. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fabricate high quality cabinetry, divans, ledges, etc. I.A.W. client approved procedures. Must be able to interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure installed cabinetry meets the design spec, quality standards and customer expectations. Learn to request material needs from approved data in a timely manner to ensure a continuous workflow. Must be able to adhere to all regulatory documentation regarding proper sign offs. As well as be able to ensure paperwork is complied with and completed timely in accordance with the client RSQM and other quality standards. Follow all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment. Basic knowledge of company installation procedures, process specs, IOPs, etc. Other duties as assigned but not covered herein.

Requirements

High School Diploma, or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus. Basic knowledge of the Cabinetry build process as it specifically relates to the corporate aviation industry, in a completions environment. 3+ yrs experience aviation cabinetry experience Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Basic knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the Cabinetry build process. Willingness to obtain knowledge of the RSQM and FAA requirements as it relates to Cabinetry build and Installation. Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by client. Willingness to obtain working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques. Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating, and tactful manner.
