To perform functions assigned in the service, repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft components, parts and accessories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Researches technical data and performs disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing and calibration of aircraft components and company special tools and ground equipment in accordance with applicable maintenance manual, FAA regulations and Ascent Aviation policies and procedures. Repairs, replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing and hydraulic units. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Upon removing units from an aircraft, engine, or other major component or subassembly, completes appropriate identification, routing tags and forms and makes appropriate entries into the Component Removal Log. Inspects turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks. Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, or other defects. Repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories. Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Upon completion of work scope obtains the signature of a certified mechanic on work cards or forms

Requirements

3-5 years of aircraft maintenance experience on commercial aircraft Active A&P License Must have own tools - must be etched at in a toolbox Participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance. Participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries. Follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Communicate as required. to receive and understand work assignments. Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision. Coordinate with MTL, STM, and the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Properly complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Assist as needed with shift turnovers. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely. Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.) . Coordinate, accomplish, and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas. Provide training to less experienced technicians. . Protect customer property (PTP). Additional Functions: Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered. . Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility. . Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designated storage area after use. . Comply with safety rules and procedures. Use protective equipment as required. and be alert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk. . Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders. . In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience OR 4 years of aviation maintenance experience to include 2 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required. Valid Driver’s License required. Other Requirements: Working knowledge of the FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

The Helicopter Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and troubleshoot discrepancies on rotorcraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Familiar with using test equipment for track and balance. Theory of rotor system tracking and balancing for adjustments. Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory body. Perform routine maintenance checks and perform diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions. Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs. Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations. Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standards Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience as a helicopter mechanic with at least 4 years on any of the following designated helicopters, Airbus/Eurocopter AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145, Agusta 109, 119, 139, Bell 206, 407, 429, 412, 505, MD500, and/or Sikorsky S76. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read, interpret and understand blueprints and other documents to accurately determine and plan the work steps to be performed. Fabricate and install systems parts and assemblies per engineering drawing or structural repair manual. Perform the operations of testing and troubleshooting aircraft systems utilizing an educational level of knowledge, skills and understanding about integrated systems. Anticipate, specify, develop, implement, and maintain tools (including test automation tools) used on aircraft systems. Provides OJT and guidance to junior level technicians. Work directly with Engineering to help facilitate installs. Observes company rules and regulations, including housekeeping and proper use of safety methods and the safe operation of equipment. Adheres to all recordkeeping requirements and paperwork to ensure work is performed in accordance with stated documents. Complete all sign off’s and component removal/installation sheets at time task is performed but prior to end of shift. Utilize all resources available to accurately perform the work steps in a safe and timely manner. Ensure a tidy, safe and productive work environment which is conducive to properly performing the tasks at hand. Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus a technical training/diploma/certificate in aircraft mechanics, or aeronautics from at least a 2 year technology institution plus 3 years of applicable experience in the same or similar job in the military or within the aviation industry. A&P preferred, but not required. Prefer to have 2 -5 years of STC experience Final 03/2020 OR 6 years of applicable experience guiding junior technicians, working directly with other departments, reading blueprints, fabricating and installing systems parts and assemblies, and troubleshooting and testing aircraft systems in the same or similar job in the military or within the aviation industry. Early sheet metal experience a plus. Minor composite repair with wet layout. Ability to install rivets. Basic understanding of gray water/ potable water/ vacuum waste systems. Basic understanding of air condition duct systems with the ability to modify existing tubes and hoses to meet blue print specs. Basic ability to swedge hard lines and ability to perform burst and proof testing. Strong ability to provide verbal and written communication. Proficiently able to read, interpret and understand blueprints. Must be self starting and motivated with the desire to learn Proficient ability to apply the use of routine to complex mathematical problems to solve work issues. Demonstrated ability to comprehend and retain OJT. Must possess a proficient mechanical aptitude. Must have the ability to read measuring devices such as a scale or caliper or other required tools. Must have close tolerance experience. Ability to use basic shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc.). Ability to use basic hand tools (grinder, drill motor, wrenches, etc.).
