Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements. Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required. to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets). Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets. Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection. Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs). Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program and complies with all safety regulations. Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks. Support Lean Activities. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year related structural assembly experience. Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred. One year experience credit considered for graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program. Other Requirements: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints. Read and interpret 6" scale. Basic computer skills. Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math. Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions. Must have essential personal skills, which include an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, ability to work with people and to meet demanding schedules. Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices. Ability to work with composite resins and materials. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work any shift. Must be able to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.

The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for high proficiency in all minor through major repairs, modifications, E.A.s, and with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Remove and replace various aircraft components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner. Proficient detail blueprint reading, ability to read, interpret and work from service bulletins, engineering work orders, major S.R.M. structural repairs. Ability to layout work using bend radius, set back and bend allowance charts, utilization of shop math, install and/or splice spars, landing gear, trunion changes, pressure bulkhead repairs and keal beam repairs/ removal and reinstall. Knowledge of ATA codes, knowledge of all applicable F.A.R.’s and company policies and procedures including job card/ time card, routine/ non-routine cards, S.R.M.’s, service bulletins, E.O.’s, and work sign-off/ sell-off procedures. Perform the duties of and provide the necessary training for lower skill levels. Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition. Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area. Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department. Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.

Requirements

3-5 years' sheetmetal experience Must have experience on 737 and/or Dash 8 aircraft Must have minimum required tools. Tool box must be etched shadowed prior to start High school diploma or equivalent

Tools shall be identified with a number unique to the owner. Multiple items too small to identify (apexs, drill bits, etc.) will be placed in a container. The quantity of items, to include the container itself, shall be readable on the outside of the container. Each item shall be listed on a “Master Tool Box” inventory. A copy shall be on file in QA and one copy in the owner’s tool box. Facial Hair (Men) – Beards and mustaches, if worn, will be neatly trimmed to an approximate ¼” maximum. Short, evenly trimmed sideburns are allowed. Hair Overall (All) - Will not be worn in an extreme or fad style. Men’s hair will not extend below the bottom of the standard shirt collar. Tattoos (All) – Visible tattoos are allowed on arms and legs if they are not discriminatory based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive nature. These include the prohibition of any tattoos commonly associated with gangs, extremists and/or supremacist organizations or discrimination. Tattoos, brandings or body marks on the head, neck, face, tongue, lips, and/or scalp are prohibited. Hand tattoos are limited to one single-band ring tattoo, on one finger, on one hand. Shoes – When working in safety and/or industrial flight line environment, shoes must follow OSHA guidelines. Can wear tennis shoes (Black is preferred) Site Specific Uniforms – (All) – Standardized dress at our hangar locations include site specific color uniform pants (responsibility of the employee to provide), blue or white shirts. NO shorts or blue jeans. Can wear Dickies or Cargo pants (BLACK OR NAVY BLUE)

Fabricate, install, assemble, and repair both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces on VIP aircraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and other documents to accurately determine the work steps to be performed including correctly sizing and drilling holes for riveting. Rivet sheet metal and components parts utilizing properly tagged and identified tools. Aligns and assembles parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners. Observes company rules and regulations including housekeeping, proper use of safety methods, and the safe operation of equipment. Ensure regulatory documentation is complied with and completed in a timely fashion in accordance with the client RSQM and other quality standards. Complete all sign offs and component removal/installation sheets at time task is performed. Utilize all resources available to accurately perform the work steps in a safe and timely manner. Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein.

Requirements

6+ years of structures install experience preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment. High school diploma or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Strong ability to provide verbal and written communication. With guidance, able to read, interpret and understand blueprints. Must be self starting and motivated with the desire to learn Ability to apply the use of routine to complex mathematical problems to solve work issues. Ability to comprehend and retain OJT. Must possess a proficient mechanical aptitude. Ability to read measuring devices such as a scale or caliper or other required tools. Ability to use basic shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc). Ability to use basic hand tools (grinder, drill motor, wrenches, etc).

The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. The location where this position works is in the back shop of an aircraft hangar environment which could be subject to weather changes and is subject to constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous waste material, heavy machinery and other safety hazards such as cabinets, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
