Under minimal supervision, use a variety of woodworking tools, techniques and material to fabricate highly complex cabinet configurations and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for completion of VIP aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fabricate high quality cabinetry, devan, ledges etc and other wood-surfaced subassemblies.
Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets the design spec, with a high level of quality and detail.
Request material needs timely to ensure a continuous work flow.
Follows all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
Other duties as assigned but not covered herein.
Requirements
6 years Cabinetry experience, preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment.
High School Diploma, or GED. Trade schooling related to cabinetry or other relevant craftsmanship a plus.
Thorough knowledge of the Cabinet Build process plus the demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Must have own tools with shadowed toolbox and a detailed inventory listing of all tooling
Strong knowledge and expertise with all aspects of the Cabinet Build process.
Knowledge of the RSM and FAA requirements as it relates to Cabinet Build, Finish or aircraft completions/modifications.
Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by company
Working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating and tactful manner

Under general supervision, prepares and applies finishes to aircraft furniture using aircraft specifications, designs and engineering drawings with a high level of safety, quality, detail and productivity. Assists team members with greater experience to enhance techniques supportive of quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Works under general supervision to prepare furniture for finish and disassembly using blueprints, aircraft specifications and design/engineering drawings.
Performs high quality repairs to various finished surfaces in the shop and aboard aircraft. Cleans and polishes blemishes as needed to prepare the aircraft for delivery. Applies finish to furniture using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods.
Uses various types of sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, masking mediums, solvents, finish materials, hand tools and various power tools to disassemble and finish furniture.
Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies. Uses personal protective equipment to protect aircraft interior (PTP). .
Uses the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.
Additional Functions:
Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety, reduce, cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six-Sigma and other process improvement techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years experience in wood finishing.
Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
Basic knowledge of cabinet finishing processes and products.
Possess a working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications.
The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.
Must be computer literate.
Miscellaneous
Experience in aerospace industry preferred. Aircraft cabinet finish preparation and application process experience preferred. Attention to detail required.
