Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Within budgeted or estimated time, repair, modify, install, and perform routine maintenance of all Avionics systems with accuracy and with minimal assistance. Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents. Accurately document work performed as set forth maintenance programs on a daily basis using the standard format. Prepare routine reports and correspondence. Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.

Requirements

3-5 years of Avionics Experience on Boeing Aircraft Boeing 737 and 767 experience is preferred Must have working knowledge of Avionics systems and their operation and the proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems. Assures that only tooling and equipment in current calibration is utilized for installation, repairs, or modifications of aircraft avionics/electronic system. May accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments/tests and to determine/record required post-flight repair work. Inspects and tests aircraft communications components, navigation components, weather radar, auto pilot, compass systems, and accessories, certifying that all meet manufacturer’s specifications. Responsible for completing all reports, forms, and checklists as required in accordance with company, government, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Complies with all safety requirements and uses all mandated safety equipment in accordance with company, government, and OSHA requirements. Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job duties and functions when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 3 years of Boeing 737 experience. For this position, a current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license is preferred. Must have current driver’s license. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, installation drawings or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the garner public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, aera, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance and repair on Commercial Aircraft types.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair all major electrical, communications, and navigational systems down to component level with various testing equipment on aircraft or in a shop environment. Analyze all repairs deciding independent methods and procedures to accomplish assignments. Remove and replace various aircraft components and electrical systems with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner. Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and Maintenance Manuals in performance of assigned duties.

Requirements

THREE (3) years avionics experience. High School diploma or equivalent. Must provide own tools as indicated on company tool list. Language (read, write, speak, and understand English) Complete Respirator clearance and Audiogram
