We are seeking an Avionics Technician in Tucson, AZ to perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, and replacements on aircraft systems in accordance with FAA/JAA regulations and technical data. The role includes basic mechanical and electrical tasks, documenting work performed, and coordinating with technical representatives to resolve system issues

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to General Work Requirements Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations Access and re-install aircraft components, which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations Document work performed per Inspections Procedures Manual (IPM) Work on aircraft as well as in shops Perform other tasks, for example, cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, load and secure ballast and/or freight as required Coordinate with technical representatives, lab, and other personnel in resolving systems or component problems Fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering specifications Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locations Assist with engine removal and installation Assist in development of installations for engineering Assist with fueling/defueling aircraft as required

Requirements

Must have either 3-5 years of avionics experience on any aircraft OR a minimum of 2 years of avionics experience on corporate aircraft. A&P license is a plus You have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manuals

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 3 years of Boeing 737 experience. For this position, a current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license is preferred. Must have current driver’s license. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, installation drawings or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the garner public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, aera, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. We are seeking experienced Avionics Crew Leads to support advanced avionics installation and modification work on General Aviation aircraft. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, requiring deep technical expertise in Garmin and Collins avionics systems, along with the ability to lead crews, maintain quality standards, and drive efficient execution in a structured maintenance environment. The ideal candidate brings a long-term mindset, strong aircraft knowledge, and proven leadership experience on Citation and King Air platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and oversee avionics installation, modification, and integration projects on General Aviation aircraft Perform and guide installations of Garmin G1000 / G600 and Collins Pro Line 21 / Fusion avionics systems Assign tasks, coordinate workflow, and provide technical direction to avionics technicians Ensure all work is completed in compliance with approved data, manufacturer manuals, and regulatory requirements Troubleshoot complex avionics discrepancies and support system testing and verification Review completed work for quality, accuracy, and conformity prior to inspection or return to service Serve as a technical resource and mentor for avionics team members Coordinate with inspectors, supervisors, and other maintenance disciplines to meet project timelines Ensure proper documentation of work performed, including logbooks and maintenance records Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and standardization Perform other duties as required to support operational needs

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of avionics experience on General Aviation aircraft Demonstrated hands-on experience with: Garmin G1000 and/or G600 systems Collins Pro Line 21 and Fusion systems Aircraft experience must include Citations and King Airs Proven experience leading avionics teams or projects in a maintenance or modification environment Strong troubleshooting skills with integrated avionics, navigation, communication, and flight control systems Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and installation data Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, direct, and support a technical team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance Willingness to work first shift on a consistent, long-term basis No rotational or short-term (“hopper”) candidates Must be eligible to work in the United States

Tool box MUST be SHADOWED and tools ETCHED. Candidates must report on day 1 with acceptable US Persons documentation per U.S. Export Control Compliance requirements.

The Avionics Technician troubleshoot repairs, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipment. Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions) Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner Operate ground support equipment as required Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations May assist with maintenance at off-site locations Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Min 4+ years of experience as an Avionics Technician Corporate Jet or commercial aircraft experience preferred If former military, Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections are a plus CRJ airframe experience is a plus FAA A&P or A license is required. GROL or AET certification is preferred Certification from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training is preferred Must have own tools Must be able to effectively communication in English both verbally and in writing Must be comfortable with 12hr shift work including days/nights and weekends.
