Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance, OJT and instruction regarding scheduled inspections, routine service to complex maintenance and repair activities on various airframe types. Complete all maintenance activities as stated on the work order, incoming inspection or in a manufacture required service bulletin, CAMP cards, etc. Perform advanced aircraft modifications, corrosion, landing gear or engine removals. Ensure all work is completed per the maintenance manual, service bulletin, client RSM, FAR or other such documentation. In partnership with Quality ensure full compliance to all internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. To include proper sign-off’s, completion of component removal sheets, etc. Demonstrate effective maintenance repair techniques using acceptable practices, tooling and providing mentoring to junior level technicians. Conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability. Ensures quality and efficiency of all assigned inspections, service and maintenance work scopes. Maintain a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein.

Requirements

6+ years of progressive maintenance experience and/or training in the business aviation industry or military. Valid FAA A&P license High school diploma or GED. Associates degree in Aviation Maintenance Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and maintenance manuals. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.

Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered. . Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility. . Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designated storage area after use. . Comply with safety rules and procedures. Use protective equipment as required. and be alert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk. . Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders. . In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. .

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience OR 4 years of aviation maintenance experience to include 2 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required. Valid Driver’s License required. Other Requirements: Working knowledge of the FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Upon completion of work scope obtains the signature of a certified mechanic on work cards or forms
