Requirements

5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant license High School Diploma or General Education Degree required. Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Highly proficient with computer based technical data programs, and be competent in researching and use of appropriate technical manuals and industry reference materials Must be mechanically adept and demonstrate the skills and knowledge consistent with industry standards for this position, including an understanding of various airframe and power plant systems. Must be able to work inside and outside under varying work and climatic conditions, have the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and must be comfortable with heights. Aircraft Mechanics will wear such eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while on the flight line during engine run-ups or when operating machinery and power tools.

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): (Identify functions affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft by using the prefix “CRITICAL”) Is aware proper aircraft maintenance practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Preform duties assigned while maintaining quality standards within assigned time limits. Works in a safe manner in accordance with company and OSHA safety procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED. Basic computer skills. Airframe & Powerplant (A & P) certificate, or equivalent experience. (equivalency =minimum of 2 years experience as an aircraft mechanic) Minimum of 2 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic. (experience is not cumulative) Proficient with using hand tools and precision equipment. Capable of reading and interpreting approved aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics and maintenance procedures. Able to work on maintenance stands, lifts and ladders, work in confined spaces in unusual positions Able to lift minimum 50lbs and able to enter and exit the aircraft using steps and/or stairs. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. A&P license required 3+ years of experience on heavy commercial aircraft. Prior experience on B737 highly preferred. Must have minimum required tools.
