Assists Junior Avionics Wiring Technicians in these efforts. Demonstrates proficiency of work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements. Assists Junior Avionics Wiring Technicians in these efforts. Willingly and effectively shares knowledge and capabilities with less experienced technicians through OJT to foster their development, ensure accurate work, and support of the team’s goals. Acts as mentor and task expert for new avionics personnel. Proficiently and consistently locates and uses the appropriate technical data to accomplish any and all tasks. Supports, maintains, and complies with all Environmental, Health and Safety federal, OSHA, state and local regulations In the absence of the Crew Chief, accepts ownerships of the work scope and established milestones relative to the successful and timely completion of these projects. Leads minor Aircraft Projects from time to time, as directed by the Crew Chief. Performs related duties, as assigned by management.

Requirements

5+ years of avionics installation experience on corporate aircraft. Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145. Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 Airframe & Power plant Certificate and/or FCC License preferred. High school graduate or equivalency degree Eligibility for designation as a Production Inspector Ability to attain & retain AOA badge or Airport requirements Must be willing to manage a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor. Willingness to learn by taking guidance from others. Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors. Take immediate corrective action regarding unsafe conditions. Regular and predictable attendance. Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers. Operate ground support equipment e.g. power carts, Hi-Reach, etc. as required. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED AND one year as an ATS Avionics Apprentice Technician I OR three years relevant related avionics experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience/training. Airframe license is desired Ability to communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels regarding all job-related issues both verbally and in writing. Must have working knowledge of Avionics systems and their operation and the proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems. Must have broad, overall knowledge of other aircraft systems e.g. hydraulic, flight controls, etc. and major components.
