A&P Mechanic III is responsible for performing routine and non-routine maintenance on commercial aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, part replacement and modifications for aircraft
Perform the assigned maintenance task in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, customers approved maintenance program, approved or acceptable data.
Troubleshoot problems, make repairs, and prepare areas for complete inspections.

Ensure that the issued Task Card is properly scanned together with the Technician’s information before beginning the assigned task(s).
Adhere to standard procedures and policies.
Accurately and legibly, record the maintenance or alteration on the proper repair station and/or customer supplied forms including their signature or initials and employee number.
Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times.
Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed.
Take part in any required training including GMM and safety.
Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.
Able to perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision.
Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging.
Able to use FAA approved data (i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years aircraft technician experience. 737/ MD80 Experience Required. A320 experience, preferred.
Active A&P License
Must Have Own Tools
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Researches technical data and performs disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing and calibration of aircraft components and company special tools and ground equipment in accordance with applicable maintenance manual, FAA regulations and Ascent Aviation policies and procedures.
Repairs, replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing and hydraulic units.
Reads and interprets manufacturers’ and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Upon removing units from an aircraft, engine, or other major component or subassembly, completes appropriate identification, routing tags and forms and makes appropriate entries into the Component Removal Log.
Inspects turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks.
Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, or other defects.
Repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
Upon completion of work scope obtains the signature of a certified mechanic on work cards or forms
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience on commercial aircraft
Active A&P License
Must have own tools - must be etched at in a toolbox
Participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance.
Participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
Follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.

Aircraft Mechanics will keep assigned tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition at all times, and when using calibrated equipment, ensure the calibration due time has not expired.
Aircraft Mechanics will wear such eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while on the flight line during engine run-ups or when operating machinery and power tools.
Requirements
3+ years of recent MRO experience.
Aircraft Onsite: A319/320/330, 737NG and 737 Classic
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver’s license
