Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and installations on corporate and business jet aircraft. Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal components in accordance with approved technical data. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, structural repair manuals (SRMs), and manufacturer specifications. Perform drilling, riveting, countersinking, trimming, forming, and fitting of aircraft structural components. Inspect aircraft structures for cracks, corrosion, damage, and other discrepancies requiring repair. Remove and replace damaged aircraft skins, panels, brackets, doublers, and structural assemblies. Utilize precision measuring instruments and specialized tooling to ensure proper fit, alignment, and tolerances. Perform structural modifications and repairs in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and approved maintenance procedures. Coordinate with maintenance technicians, inspectors, and supervisors to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands-on sheet metal / structures experience on corporate aircraft required. Experience working on business jet platforms such as Gulfstream, Bombardier Challenger/Global, Dassault Falcon, or Cessna Citation. Strong knowledge of aircraft structural repair techniques, fabrication, and sheet metal installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, SRMs, and technical documentation. Proficiency with aircraft sheet metal tools, precision measuring instruments, and riveting equipment. Experience performing structural repairs, modifications, and component replacements. Makes plaster casts from any fixture furnished and plaster mockups or sample parts. Maintains contour and dimensional requirements of form tools and fixtures. Maintains close tolerances in jigs and transfers hole patterns from different mold lines, laying out templates, shop tools and drill fixtures.

Requirements

Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. Technical school or equivalent practical experience and four (4) to seven (7) or more years of related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous experience in performing jig and fixture or plastic laminate fabrication is desired. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required dependent driving duties assigned.
