Assist in the design and fabrication or modification of special equipment such as liquid and dry application equipment resulting in fully functioning equipment to assist in the abatement of mosquito populations. Prepare requisitions and work orders under the direction of the Director of Aircraft Maintenance for parts and materials needed to maintain District aircraft in a state of readiness. Perform routine maintenance and repair to facilities in order to keep the building in good working order. Operate forklifts and other ground support equipment as needed to help complete tasks. Assist ground operations when needed with maintenance, repair, and operation of vehicles and spray equipment as necessary in order to have functioning ground equipment. Reinforce aircraft operation sites when aircraft operations exceed the capacity of the Aircraft Support Technicians in the field. Follow Federal and State laws and District policies regarding health and safety to ensure compliance. Must be willing to work overtime (as requested). High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. Must be able to accomplish any and all repairs, modifications, E.A.'s, etc, with very little to no assistance. Must be able to use the FAA approved data proficiently (i.e., IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM.) Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Miscellaneous

• Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. • Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft. • Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. • Complete job assignments in a timely manner. • Complete on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading. • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification. • Conduct operational tests. • Help with general clean-up of work area. • Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs. • Regular and prompt attendance. • Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers. • Perform other duties as assigned.
