The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for high proficiency in all minor through major repairs, modifications, E.A.s, and with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and rebuilds structures components and appliances, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units.
Reads and interprets OEM and DoD Technical Manuals, service
bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, local directives and other specifications to determine maintenance method and procedures.
Performs structural (metallic and composite) inspections for damages
such as cracking, corrosion, delamination, or other damage as specified in the OEM inspection criteria.
Perform structural repairs (metallic and composite) as required utilizing
OEM SRM, Engineering Drawings with DER approval or other approved repair data.
Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including change and/or inspect fuel, and oil filters, cleaning screens, aircraft
lubrication, wheel and tire maintenance such as tire changes, clean and inspect wheels and bearings and servicing on-board sanitation facilities.
Mix paint and apply for touch-up of aircraft and components.
Complete required repair documentation in accordance with company requirements, Customer GMM if applicable, customer CAMP documents, or customer supplied Flight Docs documents
Requirements
5+ years' sheetmetal experience
Must have experience on 737 and/or Dash 8 aircraft
Must have minimum required tools.
Tool box must be etched shadowed prior to start
High school diploma or equivalent

Tools shall be identified with a number unique to the owner. Multiple items too small to identify (apexs, drill bits, etc.) will be placed in a container. The quantity of items, to include the container itself, shall be readable on the outside of the container.
Each item shall be listed on a “Master Tool Box” inventory. A copy shall be on file in QA and one copy in the owner’s tool box.
Facial Hair (Men) – Beards and mustaches, if worn, will be neatly trimmed to an approximate ¼” maximum. Short, evenly trimmed sideburns are allowed.
Hair Overall (All) - Will not be worn in an extreme or fad style. Men’s hair will not extend below the bottom of the standard shirt collar.
Tattoos (All) – Visible tattoos are allowed on arms and legs if they are not discriminatory based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive nature. These include the prohibition of any tattoos commonly associated with gangs, extremists and/or supremacist organizations or discrimination. Tattoos, brandings or body marks on the head, neck, face, tongue, lips, and/or scalp are prohibited. Hand tattoos are limited to one single-band ring tattoo, on one finger, on one hand.
Shoes – When working in safety and/or industrial flight line environment, shoes must follow OSHA guidelines. Can wear tennis shoes (Black is preferred)
Site Specific Uniforms – (All) – Standardized dress at our hangar locations include site specific color uniform pants (responsibility of the employee to provide), blue or white shirts. NO shorts or blue jeans. Can wear Dickies or Cargo pants (BLACK OR NAVY BLUE)
