We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Technicians Level II and Level III for a leading heavy commercial MRO facility in Sanford, Florida. These positions support structural repairs, modifications, and heavy maintenance on narrow-body commercial aircraft in a fast-paced hangar environment. Candidates must have strong commercial aircraft structural repair experience and be comfortable performing sheet metal work during heavy checks, major repairs, and return-to-service projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform structural repairs, modifications, and sheet metal fabrication on commercial aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards Complete heavy maintenance tasks including skin repairs, panel replacements, structural modifications, corrosion removal, and component repairs Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal parts including brackets, doublers, panels, and support structures Read and interpret blueprints, structural repair manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, and technical data Use precision measuring tools and sheet metal equipment including drills, rivet guns, shears, brakes, and other hand tools Remove and install fasteners, rivets, and aircraft structural components as required Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and airworthiness requirements are met Properly document all work performed in compliance with FAA and customer requirements Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Collaborate with team members, leads, inspectors, and management to meet production schedules and aircraft delivery deadlines Follow all safety procedures and quality standards throughout the maintenance process

Maintain and rebuild aircraft engines and airframe as needed with an objective of all aircraft being mission ready. Assist in the design and fabrication or modification of special equipment such as liquid and dry application equipment resulting in fully functioning equipment to assist in the abatement of mosquito populations. Prepare requisitions and work orders under the direction of the Director of Aircraft Maintenance for parts and materials needed to maintain District aircraft in a state of readiness. Perform routine maintenance and repair to facilities in order to keep the building in good working order. Operate forklifts and other ground support equipment as needed to help complete tasks. Assist ground operations when needed with maintenance, repair, and operation of vehicles and spray equipment as necessary in order to have functioning ground equipment. Reinforce aircraft operation sites when aircraft operations exceed the capacity of the Aircraft Support Technicians in the field. Follow Federal and State laws and District policies regarding health and safety to ensure compliance.
