Safely operate shop equipment such as: brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheetmetal functions. Use the proper hardware for various sheetmetal applications. Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies. Uses personal protective equipment as required. Ensures aircraft is protected (PTP). Conduct monthly 5S audits, as required. Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work. Assist in developing initiatives to meet individual OGSM requirements, as required. Additional Functions: Work closely with lead to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost, cycle time, and man hours. Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g. YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.) Coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects. Perform Lead responsibilities, as required. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Four (4) years of sheetmetal and/or fabrication experience. Experience in aerospace industry preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Performs all work in accordance with Duncan Aviation approved procedures, appropriate maintenance manuals and technical data. Performs Qualified Inspector (QI) duties as needed. 3. Oversees, completes and maintains accurate and timely aircraft and project documentation including reviewing preliminary reports to ensure accuracy of forecasted and billed labor hours. Reviews work orders, invoices, etc. to ensure timely and accurate inventory allocation, appropriate sign-off language, and accurate charges for labor and outside services are applied prior to billing. Participates in reviewing of the final invoice with appropriate management and sales team for profitability, accuracy, accountability and documentation. Assists professionally and courteously in addressing customer billing disputes and work order reviews for maintenance actions performed by team members. 4. Supervises day-to-day activities of team members as assigned by the team leader. Holds team members accountable to Duncan Aviation approved policies and procedures, including professionalism, safety and cleanliness of the work environment. Ensures the team's consistent use of appropriate technical data. 5. Designates correct fasteners, using fastener codes, for each installation. Documents procedures and techniques for engineering and FAA approval. 4. With little or no supervision, performs cockpit detailing and refurbishing to include locating, layout and cutting, patching, and cutting holes for instruments, control panels, switches, etc. Finishes and engraves, including paint matching, touchup and airbrush work. 5. Completes required paperwork for work order. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the work order procedures. Enters description of work completed. Properly documents all removal and installation of aircraft parts and accessories according to Installations approved procedures. 6. With little or no supervision, uses appropriate corrosion control processes upon completion of parts and fixtures before installation in aircraft. 7. Provides OJT to less experienced technicians to ensure technical development and accurate work. 8. Disassembles and reassembles aircraft interior, instrument panels and avionics equipment bays prior to and/or following the installation of aircraft systems, using proper handling and storage techniques. 9. Maintains current industry, equipment and FAA knowledge by attending factory classes, OJT and by researching and reading technical documents, trade publications, FAR’s, etc. Assists lesser experienced technicians in interpreting Company policies and the FAR’s. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
