Interpret and check prints, both hard copy and electronic, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications. Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments. Familiar with FAR Part 145, 135, 91, 65 and 21. Prepare necessary aircraft related FAA, customer or company documents. Complete and maintain reports and records as required. Accurately enter electronic data related to aircraft production, completion and installation operations. Effectively collaborate with various management groups from the Business Units and Engineering. Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures. Perform all other duties assigned Assist in development of procedures and written instructions related to quality issues.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Airframe certificate Minimum of 5 years’ experience in scheduled or unscheduled aircraft maintenance or equivalent. Minimum of 1 years’ experience with FAR 145 Repair Station and FAR 43 Maintenance. Minimum of 1 years’ experience with FWW/EASA/POA processes. Minimum of 1 delegation right (CVE, Form 1, Form 52, Form 53, NCR MRB, Repair Station or Powerplant License) Able to read and understand structural and avionic drawings, schematics, test procedures, etc. Good verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports. Computer literacy Critical thinking, logic and analytical skills. Pass vision testing, minimum 20/20 corrected, and with no limitations in color perception. Cleans grease and dirt from product. Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool. Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface. Computes mix ratios in order to mix paint materials. Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose. Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray. Selects the appropriate personal protective equipment for the operation to be performed. When using a respirator ensures the respirator is working properly and is properly worn. Applies spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish using protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush. Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent. Ensures compliance with environment regulations and maintains records in accordance with these environment regulations.

Record the results of all inspections performed on the proper inspection forms used by the repair station in accordance with this Inspection Procedures Manual. Be thoroughly familiar with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, tolerances, limits, inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their area of responsibility to determine the quality of the work performed and the airworthiness of the article. Maintain proficiency with various types of inspection aides used for the inspection of a particular item. Conduct all required inspections in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, any customer’s approved program data, and the policies and procedures contained in this Inspection Procedures Manual. Ensure current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limits, and procedures recommended by the manufacturer of the product undergoing inspection and other forms of applicable inspection information are available for reference. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer’s bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual. Support the company Safety Program
