We are seeking an experienced Lead Sheet Metal Technician to join a growing commercial aircraft maintenance operation in Sanford, Florida. This is a direct hire opportunity supporting heavy maintenance, structural repairs, and return-to-service projects on commercial aircraft. The ideal candidate will bring strong sheet metal and structural repair experience, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and an active A&P License. This individual will serve as a technical leader on the floor, helping drive quality, productivity, and compliance while working closely with management and maintenance teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and support sheet metal technicians during heavy maintenance and structural repair projects Perform complex structural repairs, modifications, and sheet metal fabrication in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures Assist with planning, coordinating, and prioritizing daily workload to support production schedules Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians Review and interpret Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation Perform skin repairs, panel replacements, corrosion removal, structural modifications, and major repairs Fabricate, install, and repair aircraft structural components including brackets, doublers, panels, and support structures Ensure all work is completed to quality, airworthiness, and customer requirements Coordinate with inspectors, maintenance control, engineering, and management to resolve technical issues Accurately document maintenance actions and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations Promote a safe, organized, and compliant work environment Support aircraft delivery schedules and operational goals

Requirements
