Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform such typical maintenance operations as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting, rigging, and safety wiring to include powerplant, and flight control removal/installation. Troubleshoot, repair, clean, service, inspect, modify, replace, and/or overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems using approved data to ensure airworthiness. Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Perform work within estimated hours. Follow all safety procedures and specifications. Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties. Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner. Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no rework. Assist other employees in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.

THREE (3) years aircraft maintenance experience on heavy transport category aircraft. High School diploma or equivalent. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Applies primer, top coat paint, and any spray-applied coatings to detailed parts, sub assemblies and major assemblies of aircraft interiors to customer or company specifications and industry quality standards.

Language (read, write, speak, and understand English). 18+ months of experience troubleshooting and effecting Avionics repairs on Military, Commercial transport aircraft Subject to noise more than 85 dbs. Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders and/or service stands. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment. Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator. Employees with facial hair will be required to purchase a hood to meet respirator requirements. Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program. Normal or corrected hearing. Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds. Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected. FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate preferred FCC License preferred

Prepare and maintain simple records such as work order/task card documentation, logs, parts tags, and time and material records, as instructed.

Requirements

Minimum five (5) years of aircraft interior maintenance work techniques, terminology, parts, etc.. High School Diploma or GED required. Familiar with 14 CFR Part 91/121 or 145 preferred. Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements. Will perform daily transactions within the ERP system (AMROS KIOSK), vending (POU), as well as research customer’s maintenance manuals. Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations. Take action to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
