Perform quality aircraft maintenance and/or repairs within budgeted time in compliance with all applicable Code of Federal Regulations, Repair Station Procedures, customer requirements, and manufacturer's recommendations. Organize work plan in an efficient and resourceful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform such typical maintenance operations such as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting rigging and safety wiring, including powerplant and flight control removal and reinstallation. Repair, modify, replace or overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness . Complete all tasks to the quality standards of Company, FAA and our customers' approved maintenance manual. Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours Read and use Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated parts Catalog, Blueprints, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins, routine and non-routines and other related maintenance documents in order to troubleshoot and effectively complete work assignments. Ensures that Company and customer aircraft maintenance documents are accurate and properly annotated. Ensures documents are returned to the Technical Library and/or destroyed, as required, after jobs are complete. Use and operate safely all ground support equipment, (i.e., Main Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.) and possess Company operating certification. Promote a culture of safety my monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the Company Team Member Safety Manual. Responsible for the proper execution of parts tags attached to repairable, serviceable or condemned parts. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments and co-workers Keep own and adjacent work area clean Able to work any or all shifts

Requirements

5+ years of sheet metal experience on commercial aircraft Able to read schematics/blueprints of moderate complexity, engineering drawings and technical instructions. Have working knowledge of SRM (Repair Station Manual) references. Must have own tools. High School Diploma/GED. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands. Successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary pre-employment test for drugs as per DOT regulations.

Maintains inventory control of area equipment . Additional Functions: Works with and assists other NDT Technicians as required. . Coordinates NDT inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency and cost effectiveness . Provides technical assistance to subordinate level NDT technicians . Performs process control on area inspection equipment . Performs exposure room interlock safety checks, establishes radiation safety barriers, zeros pocket dosimeters, operates radiation survey meters and completes applicable survey logs and forms . Performs automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts . Must be available to work any shift . Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years related technical experience required. 1 year NDT experience on determining product acceptability required. Proficiency in blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics required. MAUS-V, Phase Array, automated C-scan operation experience preferred. Other Minimum Requirements: NDT Level II Certification in two (2) disciplines, with four (4) years experience in the certifying disciplines. Documentation is required to meet the training and experience hours required. ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred.
