Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Communicate as required to receive and understand work assignments. Perform tasks completely, accurately, and in a timely manner. Ensure that work accomplished meets FAA requirements, customer specifications. Ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Properly complete equipment & parts change sheets, work order sign-offs, and other paper work in a timely manner. Properly identify (tag) and store customer property and equipment. Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per engineering specifications and drawings to ensure a defect free system. Submits work for inspection & approval. Analyzes and repairs aircraft avionics systems such as Nav/Com, Transponder, DME, and Autopilot to the sub-assembly level utilizing aircraft & avionic manufacturer’s prints, maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring and performs necessary work to ensure installations meet conformity. Troubleshoots and repairs systems using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering, and wire termination. Sets up and operates necessary test equipment. Conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability. Performs minor maintenance and cleaning/adjustments of electronic/electrical components and associated equipment on the bench. Assists other Line and Install Technicians in the aircraft as required. Use the Corridor system to enter daily labor against correct Work Order and item numbers. Reviews work, including forms and records, to ensure compliance with Inspection Procedures Manual, Operating Procedures and FAA regulations. Maintains good housekeeping and safety in all areas to include hangars, break areas, and offices. Possess a working knowledge of the Company Policies and Procedures manual, Company Inspection Procedures manual, and any pertinent process specifications. Clearly and tactfully gets point across to others orally and in writing. ­ Keep shop and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor. Comply with safety rules and procedures. Contribute to an environment in which all people are respected. Performs other duties as required.

High School Diploma, or equivalent required. 2+ years of avionics troubleshooting experience required. 2- Year Electronics Technology degree Preferred 4 years prior work history dealing with aircraft avionics and test equipment preferred 4 Years’ Experience working with Garmin G1000 preferred Experience with the following test equipment: Pitot/static tester, Nav 401L, AT 600, Oscilloscope Must meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions Current Valid Driver’s License

Interpret blueprints, completion drawings, company standards, work instructions, 3D model information. Perform proper maintenance practices in accordance to DFJ FPS, “F” standards and Quality standards, such as proper glue application, adhesive bonding, and hardware. Correct handling and use of all required tools specific to the current job assignment. Correct handling and use of all required chemicals and adhesives related to the current job assignment, including general knowledge and ability on retrieving data from the MSDS safety books. Position will primarily have one area of focus: Seat Covering Disassemble and reassemble vendor passenger seats and divans in accordance with the guidelines of the vendor component maintenance manuals, and other seat and divan vendors.

Performs inspection of aircraft components during their assembly, installation and adjustment phases of incorporation onto an aircraft to ensure that the workmanship and materials conform to the aircraft manufacturers specifications and maintenance manual procedures. Ensures that all Work-In-Progress is properly documented as to the worked performed and that corrective actions used, have the proper technical data references documented properly in the corrective action block and the work in progress steps. Records all inspection data on the proper form, report and/or inspection tag and bring to the attention of the Lead Inspector any irregularities in the daily standard practices used that would cause injury to personnel or the aircraft unsafe or un-airworthy. Performs maintenance work/repair of company equipment and general shop housecleaning. Tests tightness of airframe connections with hand tools and utilizes flashlight and mirror to inspect fit of parts. Examines assembly, installation, and adjustment of ailerons and rudders to ensure that workmanship and materials conform with Civil Air Regulations, company specifications, and manual procedures. Determines accuracy of installation of components in power plant and hydraulic system using protractor, micrometer, calipers, and gauges to ensure that specified tolerances are met. Signs inspection tag to approve unit, or records reasons for rejecting unit. Logs inspections performed on aircraft.

Requirements

Experience: 3 years experience in aircraft inspection Certificates/Licenses: A&P License and valid driver’s license required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to interpret and apply technical data relating to the job and position; ability to safely drive and operate a standard shift automotive vehicle and other applicable equipment; ability to work with or without supervision. Sheetmetal Mechanic will maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft to ensure the aircraft is in safe working condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform all repairs, replacements, etc. on all aircraft systems, airframes in a safe and expeditious manner and within FAA, and or manufacturer’s specifications. Assist team leaders and shop foreman in finding unsafe or potential problems to customer’s aircraft. Report errors, and do repair as needed. Become familiar with all technical publications (maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, etc.) concerning aircraft maintained at this facility. Own and maintain basic hand tools and test equipment to perform assigned tasks. Work and communicate closely with other shop and office personnel to assure smooth transition of all customer aircraft. Become familiar and proficient with all shop test and maintenance gear. Perform all tasks assigned by management in a timely and safe manner. Maintain a professional demeanor towards all customers, be courteous, informative and sincere. Maintain a clean and neat work area. Help with other housekeeping duties as assigned. Provide backup to line personnel when they are moving aircraft in and out of the hangers. Other activities and projects as approved by the Director of Maintenance, Shop Foreman or the General Manager.

Requirements

5 years in aircraft maintenance required Heavy duty sheetmetal modification experience highly preferred Cessna models 152 to 400 series aircraft experience, preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent Must have own tools

Miscellaneous

Candidates must report on day 1 with acceptable US Persons documentation per U.S. Export Control Compliance requirements.Must have and main current and valid driver's license
