Prepare all upholstered surfaces for foam and covering using various hand tools according to client approved procedures. Cleans glue off panels and strips materials from parts. Learn to perform basic sewing modifications to seat covers, curtains, and miscellaneous items using sewing machine, glue gun and other hand tools. Must be able to interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure installed interiors meet the design spec, quality standards and customer expectations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Basic knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the Upholstery process. Willingness to obtain knowledge of the RSQM and FAA requirements as it relates to Upholstery Installation. Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by client. Willingness to obtain working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
