Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs routine developmental learning assignments and applies standard solutions to work situations of a routine or repetitive nature. May perform a variety of routine duties related to the area to which assigned. Uses hand and power tools such as routers, drill motors, die grinders and other like tools to complete the required operations called out in the work instructions. Trims parts to fit and files, grinds, deburrs, bevels edges, polishes surfaces and other wise finishes out the material, part or assembly to specifications. Assembles detail parts into subassemblies and complete assemblies using written and verbal work instructions. Installs rivets, bolts, screws and clips and prepares and applies adhesives. Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications. Operates production machines and equipment such as hot or cold presses, band saws, and other like production machines to fabricate parts, components and material for production uses. Reviews production and process documentation and production scheduling and planning and assist in expediting the flow of material, parts and assemblies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Must be able to use small hand tools and machinery Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Applies basic, and some intermediate technical skills and knowledge related to production procedures to prepare parts for the application of primer and paint, assist in painting operations and polishes and buffs aluminum aircraft skins and other metal products to achieve the specified end product finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs routine developmental learning assignments and applies standard solutions to work situations of a routine or repetitive nature. May perform a variety of routine duties related to the area to which assigned. Masking, sanding, computer skills, mixing and measuring material for painting. Reads, learns and interprets specifications and work scope shown in writing on work orders. Determines proper method to complete work assignments. May be requires to assemble or disassemble parts and assemblies to perform specified work operation. Prepares parts for paint application by hand or machine sanding, filing, caulking, sealing and cleaning. Selects the appropriate personal protective equipment and performs the specified operation. Ensures respirator is working properly and is properly worn when using a respirator. Polishes and buffs metals to remove scratches and other defects from metal surface. Uses hand held or stationary polishing equipment such as orbital sander, freestanding polish wheels and hand sanding to accomplish the work. Selects polishing medium per work instructions such as sanding disks, emory paper, abrasive cake or lubricant . Holds part against polish wheel and/or moves polishing equipment over surfaces of workpiece to remove fine scratches and to achieve specified finish. Performs minor filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked. Polishes recessed areas with fine grade emery cloth and performs masking operations, Assists and learns calculation of mix ratios in order to mix paint, sealant and other materials. Ensures compliance with environmental regulations and maintains records in accordance with these environmental regulations. Performs hand and spray application of primer and topcoat to aircraft parts. Completes and maintains necessary paperwork for documenting processes performed.

Requirements

Formal Education, Training and Work Experience: Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. High school diploma or G.E.D. No experience required.

As an Avionics technician, you will be instrumental in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex avionics systems on aircraft, demonstrating advanced knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and FAA regulations, often performing intricate repairs. Your role will include performing operational and functional checks during heavy checks, return to service, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshoots and repairs all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft. Communicates with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairs. Ensure all work performed is inspected by a repair station inspector. Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes as required by company policies, FAA approved repair station and quality control manuals, all FAA regulations, OEM aircraft manufacturer manuals, etc. Learns, understands, and follows the company work order and parts requisition process as written. Maintains a clean, neat, and efficient work area. Repairs and calibrates shop equipment as assigned. Installing, replacing, and repairing avionics components according to engineering specifications and manufacturer guidelines, including wiring harnesses, circuit boards, and sensors. Accurately reading and interpreting complex technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance procedures to perform repairs correctly Diagnosing complex malfunctions within aircraft avionics systems, including navigation equipment, communication radios, weather radar, autopilot systems, and flight instrument Performing Aircraft electrical Modifications, including routing and terminations of new wires and bundles, and with working knowledge of SWPM/ESPM to ensure correct routing of harnesses

Requirements

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 4-6 years' experience in aviation or aerospace industry. A&P/ FCC License preferred. Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems. Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 145. Experience working with and repairing the following aircraft systems: Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, Pitot and Static Systems, ADS-b, Transponders, HF/VHF/ACARS, etc. Military avionics experience preferred but not required. Operating precision avionics test equipment to include IFR 4000/6000, Air Data Test Sets, Multi-Meters, Bonding Meters, Etc. Skills and Abilities: Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor. Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations. Organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, wiring manuals and schematics, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, complete paperwork. • Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work. Eager to learn new this for the success of the company Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for up to 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
