Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Masking, stripping, prepping, painting and detailing. Apply primer and finish coats to aircraft parts or body of aircraft. Layout paint schemes and designs. Set up and operate typical shop equipment such as orbital sanders, dye grinders, paint guns and other general shop equipment and tools to complete work assignments based on customer specifications. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules as required in compliance with OSHA standards. Experienced with Scissor and Boom lift operations. Additional tasks may be assigned based on customer specifications and demands.

Requirements

Must have 3-5 years’ paint experience on commercial aircraft. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Closed toe shoes or boots (no open toed shoes).   Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Must have own tools

Prepares and maintains simple records such as work order documentation, turn over logs, and time and material records, as instructed. Reads task cards and follows them accurately to accomplish paint job ensuring FAA, emergency and other customer placards are correct. Follows safety procedures and wears/uses appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed. Complies with all safety procedures at all times, without exception. Records time worked as directed by supervisor. Performs work standards that meet and comply with all federal, customer and company policies and procedures which apply. Keeps informed of policies and procedures and asks supervisor for explanations if needed. Maintains work-related training and qualifications as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum five (5) years of aircraft paint experience High School Diploma or GED required. Familiar with 14 CFR Part 91/121 or 145 preferred. Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements. Will perform daily transactions within the ERP system (AMROS KIOSK), vending (POU), as well as research customer’s maintenance manuals. Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations. Take action to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.

Understand, read, and write English. Perform other duties as assigned.
