We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Technicians Level II and Level III for a leading heavy commercial MRO facility in Sanford, Florida. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reads work instructions including production planning, engineering drawings, full size Mylar layouts, process specifications and other technical documentation to insure proper detail configuration. Determines dimensions to layout holes patterns, install clips, brackets, nut plates and like items. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material with or without templates or shop aides to develop or back drill hole patterns on composite, sheet metal and mechanical parts. Trims sheet metal and composite parts to fit and files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smooths surfaces. Installs assemblies in assembly jigs, fixtures or other tooling according to work instructions. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual. Support the company Safety Program

Disposes of obsolete or surplus tools and equipment in accordance with established procedure. Operates forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks and other such devices in a safe manner. Keeps work areas clean and ensures the timely processing of paperwork and material.
