Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include seats, carpets, galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels) Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications Install cabin and cockpit seats and furniture Fabricate and pre- fit interior components associated with the modification specs and does simple layout on such items as O2 boxes, brackets, clips, lights and gaspers etc. Seek methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledge. Remove and install all interior components and soundproofing materials to meet company quality standards Read and interprets blueprints, drawings, and production procedures to determine measurements and installation procedures Measure and mark installation areas in aircraft interior, using measuring and marking instruments and templates Fit and install items in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners, such as screws, rivets, bolts, and speed nuts Fabricate and install supporting structural devices, such as clips, brackets, angles, gussets, and doublers, using shop equipment Test functional performance of installed items

5+ years’ interior installing experience Applicants should bring all trade specific hand tools to this assignment Solid work history required (This is a long term assignment. Applicant’s with short stents of employment over the previous 2 years will not be considered) High School Diploma or GED

Reviews setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece. Attaches fixture to machine bed and positions and secures work piece in fixture according to setup instructions. Assembles cutting tools in tool holders and positions tool holders in machine spindles as specified or inserts cutting tools in specified machine magazines. Enters commands to retrieve pre-programmed machine instructions from database and machine control console. Operates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and start machine. Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in setup instructions. Measures work piece for conformance to specifications. Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions. Sets up and operates the machine to produce parts. Observes operation of machine on trial run to prove taped or programmed instructions. Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.

Installs blind rivets, Jo-Bolts, hilocks, huck bolts, solid rivets and bolts, drives and bucks rivets to attach and assemble detail parts to structural parts and complete subassemblies to written and verbal work instructions. Inspects completed assemblies for conformance to specifications. Completes and maintains necessary paperwork for documenting processes performed.

Work accomplished meets or exceeds quality standards as set by the FAA, HAECO, and approved customer maintenance programs. The Interiors Mechanic is responsible to work in a safe manner eliminating waste and delivering a quality product on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform work as assigned utilizing work instructions within estimated or budgeted hours and within FAA and client standards of quality. Maintain client and customer record of maintenance documents accurately. Use and operate safely ground support equipment, (i.e., Man Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.) after training and qualifications have been assigned. Read, understand, and follow approved/accepted maintenance reference data such as Engineering Prints, Structure Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Engineering Drawings and Service Bulletins to perform assigned work. Be familiar with the materials and processes commonly used during the maintenance of aircraft interiors. Layout and perform interior reconfigurations and repairs in accordance with the applicable data without deviation. Properly execute all forms required by the customer and/or client procedures manuals. Act as a mentor and help train less experienced technicians. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and coworkers. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the client Safety Manual. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Interiors lead or Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. 18+ months of aircraft interiors experience with a maintenance, modification, or overhaul center Must provide own tools as indicated on company tool list. Language (read, write, speak, and understand English). Subject to noise more than 85 dbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment. Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator. Employees with facial hair will be required to purchase a hood to meet respirator requirements. Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program. Normal or corrected hearing. Duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, climbing stairs, etc., handling supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Performs assembly of original equipment manufacturing of parts, components and subsystems for aircraft applications using products and processes are varied but generally not complex in scope to apply primer, topcoat paint, and any spray-applied coatings to aircraft parts consistent with government, customer and company standards. The level of work performed requires some skill and experience. Priorities are determined by management. Reads and interprets specifications and documents to define the scope of work on work orders. Cleans grease and dirt from product. Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool. Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface. Computes mix ratios in order to mix paint materials. Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose. Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray. Selects the appropriate personal protective equipment for the operation to be performed. When using a respirator ensures the respirator is working properly and is properly worn. Applies spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish using protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush. Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent. Ensures compliance with environment regulations and maintains records in accordance with these environment regulations.

Requirements

Technical school and two (2) to four (4) or more years of aircraft or formal automotive painting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School/GED
