Job Summary:
Avionics Mechanic must have good knowledge of aircraft and proficient in the use of all manuals. Aircraft
wire mod experience preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Work with minimal or no supervision and accomplishing assignments with minimal or no rework.
- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, safety manuals, illustrated
- parts catalogs, FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives and blueprints involving various repairs, part
- locations and replacement.
- Troubleshoot aircraft systems and repairing in accordance with accepted/approved data
- Remove and replace any and all parts using accepted/approved data.
- Demonstrate knowledge of aircraft.
- Follow safety rules and procedures.
- Follow FAA and company policies and procedures.
- Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
- All other duties as assigned by supervision and/or management
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience
- Experience in commercial aircraft reconfiguration, cargo conversions preferred.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, requirements, and testing.
- Familiarity with Boeing commercial aircraft preferred.
- Should have working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) as it relates to airline/aviation requirements.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM system is preferred.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a plus.
- Be able to pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required.
- A&P License.
- High school diploma or GED required
Miscellaneous:
- • SUPERVISION: Under general direction, performs assignment after receiving detailed instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. Little room for deviation. • PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Requires easy mobility and dexterity. Working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 50lbs. and report to work on assigned shift schedule.
