Responsible for operating, testing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting all aircraft systems using approved aircraft data. Proficiently operate and understand a wide variety of test equipment and tooling. Must be able to interpret technical manuals and engineering data to support tasks. Complete assigned tasks within the allocated hourly budget and on schedule maintaining quality standards and preforming the tasks within the guide lines of safety regulations and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
(Identify functions affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft by using the prefix “CRITICAL”)
Complete assigned tasks within the allocated man-hour budgets, and on schedule, while maintaining quality standards and perform the tasks within the guidelines of all safety and regulatory regulations and requirements.
Perform system and/or function checkouts of components (static checks, hydraulic function checks, flight control rigging, fuel system checks and oxygen, ect.) per appropriate approved maintenance procedures or FAA requirements.
Remove and replace components on the aircraft per appropriate approved maintenance procedures or FAA requirements.
Attention to the smallest detail or component and ensure every little part is inspected, installed and function test to approved procedures.
Complete assigned work, including troubleshooting and repairs of malfunctioning systems in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures within established schedule.
Accurately log on Labor Data Collection System for work orders and attendance tracking.
Report discrepancies as they are discovered.
Communicate clearly and properly with customers and team members.
Work overtime when requested.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
(Identify functions affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft by using the prefix “CRITICAL”)
Is aware proper aircraft maintenance practices.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Preform duties assigned while maintaining quality standards within assigned time limits.
Works in a safe manner in accordance with company and OSHA safety procedures.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Airframe & Powerplant (A & P) certificate, or equivalent experience. (equivalency =minimum of 2 years experience as an aircraft mechanic)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic. (experience is not cumulative)
Proficient with using hand tools and precision equipment.
Capable of reading and interpreting approved aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics and maintenance procedures.
Able to work on maintenance stands, lifts and ladders, work in confined spaces in unusual positions
Able to lift minimum 50lbs and able to enter and exit the aircraft using steps and/or stairs.
Must not be allergic to jet fuel, oils, hydraulic fluids or cleaning solvents.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Aircraft experience, preferably on Falcon aircraft.
Experience in a production atmosphere.
Miscellaneous
All climates (such as hot, cold and wet conditions) high noise areas.
