The VIP Interior Installer will be responsible for removal and install with seats, overhead bins, gallyes, lavs. + Sewing experience and Experience is cab shop preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include seats, carpets, galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels) Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications Install cabin and cockpit seats and furniture Fabricate and pre- fit interior components associated with the modification specs and does simple layout on such items as O2 boxes, brackets, clips, lights and gaspers etc. Seek methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledge. Remove and install all interior components and soundproofing materials to meet company quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production procedures to determine measurements and installation procedures. Measure and mark installation areas in aircraft interior, using measuring and marking instruments and templates Fit and install items in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners, such as screws, rivets, bolts, and speed nuts Fabricate and install supporting structural devices, such as clips, brackets, angles, gussets, and doublers, using shop equipment Test functional performance of installed items

Requirements

Minimum 5 years or more experience on BBJs and Corporate Aircraft. Remove and reinstall VIP interiors to include disconnecting and reconnecting of avionics and systems. Install carpet and non-textile flooring. Strip and recover headliners, valance panels, deco’s etc. with different materials. Install potted inserts, use of various adhesives, fillers, and aircraft hardware. Sewing, make patterns, layout. Seats, adjust, repair, and recover. Cabinet shop Experience, work with veneers and laminates. Removal, installation, and maintenance of sound reduction kits.

Processes warranty items and initiates the Customer Return paperwork, and logs items into the database. Resolves receiving discrepancies and coordinates with Purchasing and Accounting to clear up receiving problems. • Prepares materials and parts for shipping by forecasting work assignments and assigning to appropriate personnel. Develops cut sheets with correct dimensions of crates. Proficient in operating an engine powered forklift, loading and unloading trucks, building crates, wrapping/packing parts and labeling boxes and instructing others in these procedures. • Prepares appropriate shipping paperwork and coordinates transportation according to customer requirements or preset transportation guidelines. Inputs materials shipped into the computer system. • Expedites the shipping of materials, including, but not limited to interpreting the materials planning, packing lists, freight bills, and shipment pick up through services, such as Federal Express Powership and UPS Teleship. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs bonding of metallic or nonmetallic materials to fabricate parts for aircraft applications using products and processes are varied but generally not complex in scope. The level of work performed requires some skill and experience. Works under regular supervision applying standard procedures and solutions to meet work requirements. Priorities are determined by management. Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings. Lays out, prefits, assemble and performs lay-up on a variety of metal to metal and composite bonded assemblies. Fits core in panels where close tolerances are required for installation of details for completion of assembly. Performs vacuum bagging for Autoclave cures up to 100 psi. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.

High school diploma or equivalent Must have at least two (2) years of aircraft manufacturing experience with courses in sheet metal services from a technical school / military or five (5) years of aircraft manufacturing / production experience to substitute for the sheet metal course requirement. Able to work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications. Must be able to use calibrated tools, measuring devices, and set up and operate standard shop equipment. Able to enter or exit aircraft work stands in a safe manner. Able to work from adjustable height stands in a safe manner and be able to climb steps to approximately 25 feet in height, with or without reasonable accommodation. Able to use motorized portable personnel lifts that extend up to 25 feet in height. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Never begin any maintenance unless in possession of the proper, current and applicable approved or acceptable data. Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times. Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed. Take part in any required training including GMM and safety. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.
