Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision perform a variety of air frame and powerplant service, modification and completion functions. Working on corporate aircraft doing Depot level maintenance, so must have a knowledge of the aircraft from nose to tail. Conduct operational checks on all aircraft systems such as landing gear, engine components, electrical components, control systems including APU operations. Will be performing scheduled/non scheduled maintenance and phase inspections. Candidate should have good solid corporate aircraft experience and an A&P License is required.

Requirements

5+ years of A&P experience. Formal aircraft specific schools are preferred. Review technical data, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins. Ensure that all proper procedures are followed for Inspection, Repair, and Overhaul of components. Release for return to service aircraft articles for which they are trained, qualified and authorized. Complete the Work Order closing. Maintain tally sheets for discrepancies issued against the Non-Routine Work Item. Verifies that inspection records, reports and forms used by the repair station are executed prior to final releasing into service. Issue Work Order Package and applicable references, tag and identify parts. Verification that the latest technical data is used on articles being Overhauled, Repaired and or inspected. Ensure currency of technical data is always maintained. Ensure that identifications tags are on articles. Ensure that rejected parts or unserviceable parts are tagged and discarded as per RSM and QCM to prevent their use on serviceable parts.

Requirements: 4-6 years years of Inspection experience on commercial aircraft irframe License Preferred Powerplant License Preferred High School Diploma/GED. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plans and accomplishes a complete range of assignments and tasks that are varied and moderately complex, pertaining to expediting of parts, status and control of inventory, equipment, material, tools and services. Attend production / Scheduling meetings to discuss workload, highlight material issues, coordinate and prioritize respective workloads to ensure customer delivery dates and business targets are met. Perform PC Open, PC Close transactions and ensure all materials have been issued to the orders and all operations have been confirmed prior to Technically Completing Service Order. Liaise with scheduling to notify when schedule adjustments are required based on manufacturing/repair inputs. On manufacturing orders, ensure that all part tags are completed accurately and shelf life information is captured as required, and Goods Receipt the Production Orders to stock in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Produce shortage reports and review with leads and product managers to determine the effect of material shortages on the production schedule. Communicate Outside Process (OSP) shortages and critical material requirements with MRP Controller, Scheduling, Purchasing, Section Leads, and Product Managers. Track critical shortages and update / communicate critical shortage reports to provide priority to receiving and warehouse. Identify, communicate Quality Notification delays. Modify demand allocations for specific jobs as required. Work with Engineering as needs arise to identify the need to modify the standard bills of materials. Amend usage decisions/ errors in inspection lots and warehouse returns. Initiate new part set ups, as required, for items not previously procured. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory in warehouse or non-warehouse managed locations and cycle count activity. Assist operations in problem solving issues as they pertain to labor and materials: -Review pick list, TR dates and stock requirements/allocations to ensure material issues from stores are completed in a timely manner according to job priorities and material availability, liaising with the warehouse staff and manager. - Control and processing of structural component swaps/RERE process and ensuring system transaction and documentation traceability.

4 years experience in Aircraft Repair Bonding in an aerospace environment Special Skills, Licenses or Job Requirements: Demonstrate competency in applying the following in performing normal job duties. • Reading and interpreting work instructions, properly documenting work performed on such documents as process planning, adhesive log sheets, Material Review Board documents, Engineering Work Orders, Change Notices, Engineering Process Specifications, technical manuals and like documentation. • Use close tolerance measuring tools i.e. scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages and like tools. Capable of performing structural repairs on floor beams, fuselage skin repairs, to include stringers, doublers, and triplers. Capable of performing floor beam, and frame installations / repairs. Capable of performing basic repairs, blend outs, and reinforcing repairs. Corrosion removal, damage evaluation, and finish restoration. Ability to read and interpret SRM damage limits, and repairs. Working knowledge of IPCs. Ability to read, interpret, plan and work from complex SRM’s, Blueprints, Service Bulletins, ADs, EAs, and EO’s. Working knowledge of cold working, roto peening, and freeze plug installations a plus.

The A & P Aircraft Mechanic repairs, maintains, and services District aircraft in compliance with the directives and standards of the Federal Aviation Administration and policies and procedures as set forth by the District Board of Commissioners and administered by the Executive Director. The A & P Aircraft Mechanic will be exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, close proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high places, small confined spaces, exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors and or oils and may be required to wear a respirator and other protective equipment as required. The A & P Aircraft Mechanic will be expected to perform very heavy work (frequently exerting in excess of 50 lbs of force to lift, carry, push, pull, twist, reach, or otherwise move objects) below, above the waist and shoulders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Check and determine the need and extent of repair and maintenance to be made to District aircraft so that aircraft stays in proper working order. • Perform pre and post flight inspections and maintain District owned aircraft under the periodic inspection program specified by the FAA for charter aircraft in order to provide a reasonable assurance that aircraft are functioning properly. • Fuel aircraft and load with chemicals as required so that aircraft have enough fuel and chemicals for each mission. • Perform equipment calibration prior to missions to ensure proper amounts of chemicals are released from aircraft. • Perform inspections and repairs in order to submit any FAA required documents to the Director of Aircraft Maintenance. • Maintain and rebuild aircraft engines and airframe as needed with an objective of all aircraft being mission ready. • Assist in the design and fabrication or modification of special equipment such as liquid and dry application equipment resulting in fully functioning equipment to assist in the abatement of mosquito populations. • Prepare requisitions and work orders under the direction of the Director of Aircraft Maintenance for parts and materials needed to maintain District aircraft in a state of readiness. • Perform routine maintenance and repair to facilities in order to keep the building in good working order. • Operate forklifts and other ground support equipment as needed to help complete tasks. • Assist ground operations when needed with maintenance, repair, and operation of vehicles and spray equipment as necessary in order to have functioning ground equipment. • Reinforce aircraft operation sites when aircraft operations exceed the capacity of the Aircraft Support Technicians in the field. • Follow Federal and State laws and District policies regarding health and safety to ensure compliance.

Knowledge: • Knowledge of FAA rules and regulations governing configuration, restrictions, and modification of aircraft used for aerial pesticide application • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of aircraft maintenance • Knowledge of general maintenance, repair, and servicing techniques Abilities & Skills: • Ability to operate machinery, vehicles, and material handling equipment • Ability to receive instructions and to perform tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner Education, Training, & Experience: • Completed high school education or equivalent trade school education • Five years experience in aircraft maintenance • Must have an Airframe and Power plant License • Must be licensed in “Public Health Pest Control” from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services or able to obtain such certification within one year • Must hold a valid Florida CDL License or receive it within 1 year of hire date. • Must hold a valid forklift certificate in accordance with OSHA: 29 CFR 1910.178

Miscellaneous

The A & P Aircraft Mechanic will be exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, close proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high places, small confined spaces, exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors and or oils and may be required to wear a respirator and other protective equipment as required. The A & P Aircraft Mechanic will be expected to perform very heavy work (frequently exerting in excess of 50 lbs of force to lift, carry, push, pull, twist, reach, or otherwise move objects) below, above the waist and shoulders.
