Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs routine developmental learning assignments and applies standard solutions to problems or work situations of a routine or repetitive nature. May perform a variety of routine duties related to any work operation in the manufacturing or repair of company and customer products as required. Assists in performing tasks associated with determining the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as graphite, fiberglass, plastic, boron, flock, mat, epoxy resins, rubber and like materials. Assists in planning, fabricating and building adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic composite materials. Fabricates composite and metal parts into subassemblies for the purpose of prefitting in preparation for bonding/curing in presses, ovens, and autoclaves. Assists in lay out, prefit, and assembly and lay-up of a variety of metal to metal and composite bonded assemblies. May lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Performs vacuum bagging for Autoclave cures up to 100 psi. Learns to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings. Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions. Ancillary Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required. Must be able to use small hand tools and machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Accept full ownership of assigned structural projects to learn and complete tasks from pre-planning to delivery of aircraft projects. Following all policies and procedures, especially the Quality Control Manual for Elliott Aviation, and will ensure the safety and security of customer equipment, parts, and aircraft during all structural repair and modification phases. 2. With direction from the Service Crew Chief in all aspects of assigned aircraft projects, accurately interpret and read aircraft blueprints/modification drawings, coordinating necessary resources, documentation, and communication with the appropriate personnel, including management, to ensure timely completion of quality structural repair and modifications for delivery. 3. With supervision support structural repair and modification projects by providing skilled labor and structural repair techniques from assigned team members and the Service Technician Crew Chief on a day-to-day basis for compliance and quality performance. Required to understand and use approved compliance-appropriate technical data from authorized engineering sources, FAA approved documentation and original equipment aircraft manufacturers’ maintenance & compliance documentation. 4. Record and maintain accurate and timely aircraft and project documentation. This documentation will include, but is not limited to the following: discrepancy documentation, maintenance sign-offs on a daily basis, and OJT recording. 5. Inspect, service, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft-related structural systems and structure install discrepancies utilizing the Elliott Aviation approved policies and procedures, and the appropriate manufacturer documentation and drawings to include maintenance manuals and illustrated parts catalogs. 6. Document On-The-Job Training (OJT) to promote growth and development as a structure team member. Develop skills, both personal and professional, which promote team cohesiveness and trust. Participate in personal and leadership development opportunities and demonstrate competency, leadership, and professionalism at all times. 7. Support, maintain, and comply with all Federal, OSHA, State and local regulations, and Elliott Aviation’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Processes. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

4-6 years of aircraft inspection experience Understanding of paint application techniques, FAA regulations, and inspection procedures. A&P License required Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify imperfections, defects, and inconsistencies in paint finishes. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders/scaffolding for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively document and report findings. Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with coating thickness gauges, gloss meters, adhesion testers, and other inspection tools. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
