Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include seats, carpets, galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels) Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications Install cabin and cockpit seats and furniture Fabricate and pre- fit interior components associated with the modification specs and does simple layout on such items as O2 boxes, brackets, clips, lights and gaspers etc. Seek methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledge. Remove and install all interior components and soundproofing materials to meet company quality standards Read and interprets blueprints, drawings, and production procedures to determine measurements and installation procedures Measure and mark installation areas in aircraft interior, using measuring and marking instruments and templates Fit and install items in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners, such as screws, rivets, bolts, and speed nuts Fabricate and install supporting structural devices, such as clips, brackets, angles, gussets, and doublers, using shop equipment Test functional performance of installed items

Aircraft Mechanics will keep assigned tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition at all times, and when using calibrated equipment, ensure the calibration due time has not expired. Aircraft Mechanics will wear such eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while on the flight line during engine run-ups or when operating machinery and power tools.

Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions. Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.

Perform work as assigned utilizing work instructions within estimated or budgeted hours and within FAA and client standards of quality. Maintain client and customer record of maintenance documents accurately. Use and operate safely ground support equipment, (i.e., Man Lifts, Scissor Lifts, etc.) after training and qualifications have been assigned. Read, understand, and follow approved/accepted maintenance reference data such as Engineering Prints, Structure Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Engineering Drawings and Service Bulletins to perform assigned work. Be familiar with the materials and processes commonly used during the maintenance of aircraft interiors. Layout and perform interior reconfigurations and repairs in accordance with the applicable data without deviation. Properly execute all forms required by the customer and/or client procedures manuals. Act as a mentor and help train less experienced technicians. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and coworkers. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the client Safety Manual. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Interiors lead or Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. 18+ months of aircraft interiors experience with a maintenance, modification, or overhaul center Must provide own tools as indicated on company tool list. Language (read, write, speak, and understand English). Subject to noise more than 85 dbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment. Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator. Employees with facial hair will be required to purchase a hood to meet respirator requirements. Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program. Normal or corrected hearing. Duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, climbing stairs, etc., handling supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected and must have full color vision. FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certification preferred
