Job Summary:

Removes, repairs, modifies, services and installs avionics components. Assembles, solders, connects and inter-wires electronic components. Performs wire routing, clamp and tie. Performs operational and functional check-outs of aircraft systems and sub-systems. Performs continuity checks and hot pin checkout. Support and assists aircraft mechanic and other team members as required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb/ascend ladders using hands, feet and legs to balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The employee is frequently required to function in close quarters, crawl spaces and shafts that could cause claustrophobia.
